In May 2016 I had honor to participate in The 10^th International Conference on Daoist Studies. My participation was supported by a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Project No. RFBR 15-06-09393.

The 10^th International Conference on Daoist Studies “Daoism: Self, Science, and Society” (第十屆國際道學研討會: 道學：自我、科學與社會) was held by The Society for the Study of Religious Philosophy, R.O.C., in Tian-An-Tai-Ho Retreat Center 天安太和道場, Miaoli, Taiwan, on the May 26-29, 2016.

Chairs of the Conference were Professor Livia Kohn 孔麗維教授 (Boston University, USA), and Professor Liou Tong-Miin 劉通敏教授 (Tsing Hua University, Taiwan).

The official opening of the Conference took place on May 26 at the Tian-An-Tai-Ho Hall 天安太和廳, where welcoming speeches were delivered by Dr. Livia Kohn, Dr. Liou Tong-Miin and other eminent scholars.

After the Opening Ceremony keynote reports were made by Prof. Li Feng-mao 李豐楙教授 (Graduate Institute of Religious, National Chengchi University; 政治大學宗教研究所), Prof. Paul R. Katz 康豹教授 (Academia Sinica; 中央研究院), and Dr. Li Xian-guang 李顯光先生 (The Society for the Study of Religious Philosophy; 中華宗教哲學研究社).

The main issues of the The 10^th International Conference on Daoist Studies, focused on the Daoist global view and its practice in the past and in modern society, especially on the understanding of corporeal body and self、the relationship between classic science and modern science as well as its social meanings in ethical culture and in the community.

The Conference brought together experts on Daoism, all of whom presented their research or workshops and held discussions and debates in various panels and forums . The topics discussed were in the fields of Daoist Cosmology, Daoist Worldview, Daoist Practices, Daoism and Philosophy, Daoism and Arts, Daoism and Science, Daoist Body and Self, Daoism and Contemporary Civilization.

During the conference, I got two precious gifts.

Dr. Kenneth Cohen, a renowned qigong master, presented me a remarkable book “The Way of Qigong: The Art and Science of Chinese Energy Healing”.

Dr. Li Xian-guang 李顯光先生, a famous Daoist researcher, presented me his new monograph “Ancient mount Huashan and Way of immortality” 方仙道與古華山.
